january: Ridván Garden

The last time I posted photos of the Ridván Garden (a Bahá'i Holy Place in Israel) was in May and everything felt very vibrant and alive with color then. This time, in January, even though there were flower blossoms and fruit hanging from the trees, it felt more calm and peaceful. Reflective.

  1. so beautiful here.
i too think the bare boned beauty of winter is even more reflective ... calm and peaceful.
just as you say it is above.
and yet . . . even in winter . . . this place seems to have a wonderful abundance to me!
perhaps reflecting the spirit it absorbs of good people. abundance of faith and beauty! xo

    1. I agree, Tammy! This is like an oasis just outside the city, another time and place...surrounded by the beauty of nature and spirit. Thank you!

    1. Thank you Annette! It will be hard to readjust to next winter as I return to the states this Spring. I do miss the new fallen snow first thing in the morning - so lovely, peaceful and pure.

  3. That looks like a beautiful place. Flowers and fruit in January seem very strange to me!
